Staff Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support our growing manufacturing operations. The role focuses on cost accounting, financial analysis, and accurate reporting to help optimize budgets and improve cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain cost systems, update standard cost files, and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply‑chain teams.
• Record sales, intercompany transfers, labor, and inventory transactions; prepare journal entries and verify monthly financial statements.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly plant inventories, conduct physical inventory counts, and analyze operational costs.
• Generate financial reports, perform variance and profit analysis, and support account reconciliations.
• Monitor plant activities against financial and capital budgets and advise management on cost‑optimization strategies.
• Audit internal controls, support external audits (including Sarbanes‑Oxley), and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of cost accounting or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Hyperion Financial Management (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
• High integrity and respect for confidentiality; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
