Staff Accountant

About the role

Goodway Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting within a fast‑paced advertising agency environment. The role is fully remote and supports teams across Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.

Key responsibilities

• Own or support month‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid, fixed‑asset, and expense allocations.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts such as cash, bank, prepaid, accrued expenses, fixed assets, corporate credit cards, intercompany, and other assigned accounts.
• Review coding accuracy, support vendor payment workflows, and ensure expense policy compliance.
• Prepare schedules for monthly financial statements, provide variance explanations, and assist with audit requests.
• Maintain SOPs, identify process gaps, support system clean‑up, and create repeatable workflows.
• Serve as backup for semi‑monthly payroll processing, manage payroll‑related accruals, and enter related journal entries.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of general‑ledger accounting and month‑end close processes.
• Experience with payroll, incentive compensation, and treasury accounting.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑moving environment.
