Stage Manager for JOYÀ Resident Show

About the role

The Stage Manager will be the central link between artistic, technical and operational teams for JOYÀ, the first Cirque du Soleil resident show that incorporates a dining experience. Employed by Grupo Vidanta, you will work on‑site at a luxury resort, ensuring each performance runs safely, artistically accurate and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the communication hub for artistic, technical and operational departments.
• Develop, enforce and update production rules, policies and procedures.
• Call the full show, manage contingencies, rescue procedures, show stops and restarts.
• Prepare and distribute timely show reports.
• Lead the Backstage Manager and Rover tracks, handling in‑show lineup changes and emergency communications.
• Coordinate daily rehearsals, technical cues, aerial cues and dry‑tech runs.
• Create and maintain emergency protocols for rehearsals and performances.
• Manage weekly training reports, line‑up documentation and backup act schedules.
• Support the Artistic Team on PR events and special occasions.
• Assist the General Stage Manager with weekly schedules, artist payroll and HOD meetings when needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Show Caller or Stage Manager in live performance environments.
• Familiarity with aerial and technical cueing systems.
• Strong ability to coordinate multiple teams under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
