Strategic Sourcing Project Manager – Hybrid

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Project Manager to lead and coordinate high‑impact procurement initiatives. This hybrid position partners with procurement leadership, finance, and cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are planned, executed, and communicated effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of strategic procurement and indirect sourcing projects.
• Coordinate and facilitate Sourcing Councils, managing agendas, action items, and stakeholder follow‑up.
• Drive project planning, timelines, milestones, risk management, and execution to meet business priorities.
• Track project spend, savings, budgets, forecasts, and perform variance analysis for executive reporting.
• Build and improve project governance, dashboards, and reporting tools to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Project Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Approximately 10 years of experience in project/program management, preferably in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain.
• Project Management certification (PMP, PMI) preferred.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in spend tracking, savings reporting, and budgeting.
• Proven ability to work with senior leaders and influence without authority.
• Excellent English communication skills and executive presence.
