Structural Designer – Semiconductor Facilities

About the role

The Structural Designer will support the design of semiconductor manufacturing facilities and tool installation projects. Working under the guidance of a project engineer or department manager, you will handle routine to intermediate structural design tasks while contributing to innovative AI‑enabled workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Extract and analyse vendor technical documentation, engineering data, sketches and notes to determine the optimal design approach.
• Develop and maintain AutoCAD and Revit models, drawing sheets, templates, blocks, layer standards and structural details within a BIM environment.
• Prepare and review structural layouts, plans, elevations, sections and detailed drawing packages in line with project requirements and codes.
• Create complex design modifications, field tie‑in details and constructability solutions for new, renovation and expansion projects.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, project managers, architects and other disciplines to resolve design conflicts and keep schedules on track.
• Provide technical guidance, quality reviews and mentorship to junior designers and drafting staff.
• Identify and implement improvements to drawing quality, modeling workflows and BIM coordination practices.

Required profile

• Experience performing structural design assignments for industrial or manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to adopt AI tools and continuously improve design processes.
