Supervisor Sr. Importaciones y Exportaciones

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Import and Export Supervisor to lead customs clearance operations for Aeromexico’s fleet across Mexican airports. The role ensures compliance with customs regulations while delivering efficient foreign‑trade services to internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate customs documentation such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, air waybills and customs entries.
• Coordinate import and export aircraft operations with customs authorities and brokers at all Mexican airports.
• Monitor temporary import permits for the fleet and ensure timely closure.
• Manage relationships with customs and transportation service providers, negotiate fees and control operational costs.
• Track key performance indicators, prepare management reports and provide status updates to internal teams.
• Maintain compliance with customs law, free‑trade agreements, general foreign‑trade rules and related regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, International Relations, Commercial Relations or International Trade.
• Intermediate to advanced conversational English.
• At least 2 years of experience overseeing customs brokers and handling import/export operations.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classification and foreign‑trade compliance.
• Proven ability to negotiate broker expenses and resolve operational issues.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of customs legislation and foreign‑trade regulations.
• Analytical and organizational capabilities to manage multiple operations simultaneously.
