Supplier Order Management Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Supplier Order Management specialist to guarantee the availability of raw materials in line with production plans. The role connects production scheduling, inventory control and supplier coordination within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure raw material availability based on production plans, inventory levels and transit times.
• Analyze production schedules and transmit accurate demand to suppliers.
• Create, configure and maintain SAP MRP parameters to support correct ordering.
• Review demand coverage with suppliers and verify accurate EDI transmission.
• Develop worksheets (e.g., waterfall charts) to track demand variations.
• Monitor supplier shipments for on‑time arrival and raw material consumption.
• Execute obsolescence reduction and cost‑saving projects.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of experience in supplier order management, inventory control or related logistics functions.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (intermediate‑advanced).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Experience managing overseas suppliers and handling engineering change impacts on raw materials.

Required skills

• SAP MRP transactions and system configuration.
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Inventory management metrics (DOH, DIO, SUT, ATR).
• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) handling.
• Creation of waterfall charts for demand analysis.
