Supply Chain & Operations Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain & Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day performance of the Mexican subsidiary of an international industrial equipment company serving the food industry. Based in Guadalajara, the role combines hands‑on shop‑floor leadership with strategic process‑improvement initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the assembly workshop and a small team of technicians.
• Plan, prioritize and monitor production activities according to customer demand.
• Guarantee material availability and manage inbound/outbound logistics.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Track operational KPIs for productivity, quality, delivery and safety.
• Manage purchasing, supplier relationships and inventory accuracy.
• Develop and maintain supply‑chain KPIs and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Finance for seamless project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record managing production or assembly operations.
• Hands‑on leadership style with strong presence on the shop floor.
• Professional English proficiency.

Required skills

• SAP (or equivalent ERP) experience.
• Lean Manufacturing methodology.
• 5S, Kaizen and continuous‑improvement techniques.
• Supply chain planning, procurement and logistics knowledge.
