Supply Planner – Procurement & Materials Management

About the role

Gentherm is seeking a Supply Planner to ensure raw material availability in line with MRP demand, supporting production schedules and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities according to MRP demand and ensure raw‑material inventories meet agreed targets.
• Monitor SAP daily alerts, address shortages proactively, and coordinate expediting from suppliers to the production line.
• Transmit weekly release orders to suppliers and verify adherence to transportation routing instructions while minimizing premium costs.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and master scheduler on engineering changes, SOPs and EOPs.
• Communicate ramp‑up/down plans, obtain delivery confirmations, and alert the master scheduler of any MRP errors.
• Participate in monthly SIOP meetings, report supply risks, and develop mitigation action plans.
• Ensure 100 % on‑time supplier delivery, evaluate supplier capacity, and address contract or performance issues before they impact operations.
• Report monthly on slow‑moving and obsolete items, process PFA approvals, and hold suppliers accountable for delivery costs.

Required profile

• Professional degree (e.g., engineering, supply chain, business).
• Minimum of 2 years experience in procurement, supply planning or related functions.
• Familiarity with MRP systems and SAP.
