Swim Teacher for International School

About the role

The International School of Querétaro is looking for a dedicated Swim Teacher to plan, deliver and evaluate swimming lessons for children aged 2 to 12. You will create a safe, engaging environment that promotes water confidence, skill development and overall physical growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and submit age‑appropriate lesson plans for all assigned swimming groups.
• Deliver structured swimming lessons, assess progress and provide performance evaluations.
• Maintain group management, safety standards and a positive learning atmosphere.
• Support the Aquatics Coordination team, cover lessons or perform lifeguard duties as needed.
• Supervise student arrival and departure, attend technical council meetings and participate in school events.
• Design and lead land‑based activities and aquatic recreation sessions for the summer program.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience teaching swimming to children aged 2‑12.
• Valid First Aid and Aquatic Lifesaving certifications.
• Strong knowledge of swimming instruction techniques and age‑appropriate aquatic activities.
• Excellent classroom and group management skills.
• Dynamic, enthusiastic, proactive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to student safety, honesty and responsibility.
• Availability to work Monday‑Thursday, 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
