Tax and General Ledger Accountant

About the role

CS CPA Group is seeking a Tax and General Ledger Accountant to support its growing client base. The role blends month‑end financial statement preparation, payroll and tax processing, and advisory services for businesses and individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and produce client financial statements on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile bank and credit‑card statements and maintain supporting documentation.
• Process client payroll and Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) on a bi‑weekly or monthly schedule.
• Analyze revenue and expense accounts, advise clients on variances, and provide actionable insights.
• Convert client financial statements into annual business and personal tax returns, including Partnerships, S‑Corps, Schedule C, and Form 1040 filings.

Required profile

• College degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience with general‑ledger accounting principles (revenue recognition, accruals, depreciation).
• 3‑5 years of experience preparing business tax returns (Partnership, S‑Corp, Schedule C) and individual tax returns (Form 1040).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse clients.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Experience using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Lacerte Tax or comparable tax‑software platforms.
