Tax Coordinator

About the role

The Tax Coordinator will ensure full tax compliance for all legal entities, handling calculations, filings, and interactions with Mexican tax authorities. This role supports both internal teams and external auditors, driving accurate tax reporting and optimizing tax positions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate tax compliance for all legal entities, preparing monthly provisional and final tax payments.
• Perform annual tax calculations, filings, and manage tax refund claims.
• Oversee tax offset processes, reconciliations (compulsas) and cross‑check procedures.
• Respond to inquiries from the SAT (Mexican Tax Authority) and maintain registrations with the Federal Taxpayers Registry (RFC).
• Support internal and external tax audits, and follow up on tax litigation matters.
• Coordinate transfer‑pricing studies and identify applicable government incentives.
• Monitor tax‑related general ledger accounts and ensure reporting obligations to INEGI and the Ministry of Economy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting; Master’s in Taxation or related field preferred.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Minimum 3 + years of corporate tax experience, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, general accounting principles, and audit processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the SAT (Mexican Tax Authority) portal.
• Experience using SAP for tax and accounting functions.
• Transfer‑pricing knowledge and practical experience.
• Corporate tax calculation and compliance expertise.
• Ability to support internal and external tax audits.
• Understanding of general accounting principles.
