About the role

TMF Group is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead its tax compliance function. The role combines technical tax oversight with a strong commercial focus, requiring the ability to manage teams, develop client relationships, and identify new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee tax compliance operations, reviewing tax returns and ensuring accurate calculations.
• Manage the preparation of supporting tax work and documentation, delivering high‑quality outputs on time.
• Drive commercial initiatives by identifying new client opportunities and expanding the tax services portfolio.
• Build, maintain, and strengthen client relationships to support growth and retention.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients and international stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
• Lead negotiations and provide strategic guidance on complex tax matters.
• Proactively identify risks and resolve tax and operational challenges.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tax compliance, including reviewing and managing tax return processes.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management and talent development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Advanced negotiation abilities and fluency in English for client‑facing activities.
