Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead the tax function for an international manufacturing company. The role is based in Puebla and includes a relocation package for candidates moving permanently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall tax compliance, including income tax, VAT, withholdings and transfer pricing.
• Oversee calculation, review and filing of all tax returns.
• Develop and execute strategic tax planning to optimize the company’s tax position.
• Coordinate internal and external tax audits and act as primary liaison with tax authorities.
• Prepare tax provisions, tax accounts, cash taxes and disclosures for financial statements.
• Implement and strengthen internal tax controls and risk mitigation processes.
• Provide tax advisory support to internal stakeholders for operational and strategic decisions.
• Lead, coach and develop the tax team.

Required profile

• Residence in Puebla or willingness to relocate permanently (relocation package provided).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or similar certification preferred.
• Advanced conversational English.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in tax compliance, reporting and advisory, preferably in international manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading tax teams.
• Strong accounting knowledge and experience with project management or M&A initiatives (preferred).
