Tax Manager (Northern Cluster)

About the role

The Tax Manager for the Northern Cluster at SC Johnson leads all tax‑related activities across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations while optimizing the company’s tax position. This role works closely with Finance, Legal, and Global Tax teams to support business operations and align with the global tax strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes and transfer‑pricing obligations in all Northern Cluster countries.
• Oversee preparation and timely filing of statutory tax returns and manage electronic accounting requirements such as SAT reporting and CFDI compliance.
• Develop and implement tax strategies, identify tax‑saving opportunities and advise on tax implications of business transactions.
• Maintain transfer‑pricing documentation for Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, and support related audits.
• Act as primary liaison with tax authorities, manage audits, inquiries and disputes, and monitor legislative changes.
• Provide tax advice to internal stakeholders on finance, commercial, supply‑chain and HR decisions.
• Ensure SOX‑compliant internal controls, mitigate tax risks and promote best practices in tax governance.
• Lead and develop the local tax team and manage external advisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Administration.
• 5+ years of tax experience, preferably in a multinational company or tax firm.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax laws and regulations.
• Experience in the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
