Tax Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Specialist to join Unilever’s finance team supporting our operations across Latin America. The role focuses on ensuring accurate tax calculations, compliance, and reporting while collaborating with finance, treasury and tax partners.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate VAT, withholding tax (WHT) and other local taxes for the assigned LATAM country.
• Coordinate with finance teams on corporate income tax (CIT) and transfer pricing reporting.
• Track and manage activities of third‑party service providers (3PSP) related to tax matters.
• Participate in global LATAM tax projects and automation initiatives.
• Maintain compliance controls for GFCF and support the finalisation of tax returns with OSP and country tax managers.
• Conduct process reviews, set preventive actions and communicate with financial, tax and treasury teams.
• Prepare tax account reconciliations for the trial balance and contribute to digital reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 1 year of experience in tax compliance, preferably within a Global Services Center.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong focus on continuous improvement, KPI accountability and root‑cause analysis.
