Technical Project Manager – HR Systems Integration (Remote, MX)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager on a contract basis to lead a critical M&A integration effort. The focus is on migrating and onboarding employees from an acquired company into our Open HR platform across Mexico and Guatemala. This remote role requires strong project management expertise combined with hands‑on experience in payroll and HR systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the HR systems integration project for the acquired entity’s workforce in Mexico and Guatemala.
• Manage end‑to‑end data migration from legacy payroll/HR systems into Open HR.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and country stakeholders to meet project milestones.
• Validate, cleanse, and oversee employee data uploads to ensure accuracy.
• Support onboarding of approximately 480+ employees onto the Open HR platform.
• Maintain relationships with payroll, HR, and technology vendors in Mexico.
• Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and develop mitigation plans.
• Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure compliance with local HR and payroll regulations during the transition.
• Document integration processes, workflows, and deliverables.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing M&A, HRIS, payroll, or workforce system integrations.
• Strong knowledge of the Open HR platform.
• Understanding of Mexican HR and payroll processes; familiarity with Guatemalan workforce operations is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and international stakeholders.
