Technical Project Manager

About the role

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) joins a project team responsible for delivering wind farm projects. The TPM acts as the main technical liaison with clients, internal engineering, and support functions, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage interfaces between the project team, Engineering, and other technical support functions within the Nordex Group.
• Support project execution across the region, maintaining schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Represent Nordex values to customers and external stakeholders.
• Assist negotiations with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers on technical matters.
• Design technical modifications to wind turbines in collaboration with Commercial Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Apply lessons learned to optimise operational efficiency during project implementation.
• Lead internal improvement projects to enhance safety, performance, and operating costs of turbine components and installation tools.
• Provide transparency to optimise cost‑benefit ratios in cooperation with other departments.
• Proactively identify and mitigate Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical project management within wind energy or similar industrial sectors.
• Strong ability to coordinate with engineering, procurement, and support teams.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and stakeholder representation.
• Experience negotiating technical aspects with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Capability to drive continuous improvement and apply lessons learned to future projects.
