Temporary Transportation Planner – Logistics

About the role

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a fast‑paced logistics professional for a temporary assignment as a Transportation Planner within its hub in Mexico City. You will be responsible for executing the regional deployment plan, managing day‑to‑day transportation activities, and supporting international exports.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) based on distribution plans, ensuring timely communication with warehouses and carriers.
• Own daily booking, transport confirmations, tracking, and issue resolution.
• Maintain and optimize master data for Truck Load Building, including pallet and weight capacities and lane lead times.
• Drive actions to meet transport budget, manage monthly pre‑invoices, process freight claims, and lead pallet management programs.
• Partner with Customer Service and sales teams to optimize transport modes, order patterns, and co‑loads, especially during peak periods.
• Oversee export execution and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.
• Generate KPI reports for countries, customers, and carriers and support performance reviews with the Transport Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in transportation planning, logistics, or a comparable supply‑chain role.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve real‑time supply‑chain challenges.

Required skills

• Proficiency with advanced Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
