Test Engineer

About the role

Join Marelli’s Design Interior team as a Test Engineer, based at the Marelli Plant PIVA. You will conduct product tests, prepare detailed reports, and support design engineers in solving issues identified during testing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage and publish Design Verification & Reporting (DVP&R) plans for automotive interior parts.
• Create test matrices, schedule and execute physical validation activities, and set up test equipment according to internal and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers and external test laboratories to ensure timely delivery of components and test results.
• Document test outcomes, investigate root causes of failures and drive corrective actions.
• Represent engineering in design reviews, initiate test requests and support cost‑saving initiatives.
• Maintain the test laboratory’s organization and 5S standards.

Required profile

Required skills

• Design Verification & Reporting (DVP&R) planning
• Design of Experiments (DOE) and test matrix creation
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Experience coordinating supplier and external laboratory testing
