Test Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Test Technician to support the investigation of component, manufacturing and field‑return issues. Working under limited supervision, you will perform aggressive root‑cause analysis and help implement effective corrective actions within an electronics manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate specialized failure‑analysis equipment and apply techniques such as SMT/through‑hole rework, BGA reballing, grinding and polishing.
• Diagnose and repair electronic circuit board assemblies to component level while managing MRB material flow.
• Monitor component reject levels, moisture‑sensitive and shock‑sensitive device handling, and report findings to the Failure Analysis Engineer.
• Assist production lines with immediate problem resolution and support test engineering data‑evaluation programs.
• Maintain safety standards when working with hazardous chemicals, liquid nitrogen, epoxies and acrylics.
• Interpret assembly documentation including schematics, bills of materials, engineering change orders and test procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret technical journals, datasheets and engineering documents.
• Strong written communication for reports and procedure manuals.
• Capability to present technical information to engineering teams and management.
• Understanding of probability, statistical inference and basic mathematical concepts applied to troubleshooting.
• Problem‑solving mindset with experience collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
