About the role
Optimas is seeking a Trade Compliance Assistant to support its global supply chain operations. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will act as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners, ensuring accurate import data and compliance with trade regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external contractors, providing import‑related data such as HS codes, weights, and measures.
- Contact suppliers to retrieve import information and keep internal databases up to date.
- Collaborate with internal customers (Sourcing, Sales, Transportation, Customer Service, Legal) to analyze and consolidate data.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Define status‑reporting cadence, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
- Record and distribute meeting minutes and handle other assigned tasks.
Required profile
- B.A. or B.S. in Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Supply Chain Buyer or Supply Chain Analyst.
- Self‑starting attitude with strong problem‑resolution capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel for comparative data analysis and handling large data sets.
