Transport Capacity Procurement Representative

About the role

The Capacity Procurement Representative will negotiate freight rates, build a reliable carrier base, and promote the J.B. Hunt Carrier360 platform to improve visibility and efficiency of freight movement. This full‑time, on‑site position in Querétaro supports internal stakeholders and ensures timely, cost‑effective transportation services.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate optimal purchase rates with carriers to meet revenue and profit margin goals.
• Act as liaison between internal business stakeholders and carriers.
• Monitor freight in transit, obtain carrier updates, and ensure on‑time pickup and delivery.
• Use the Carrier360 platform to tender loads, track shipments, and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate service failures proactively to internal support teams to minimize costs.
• Partner with internal teams to promote best‑in‑class service and safety.
• Verify carrier authenticity and tracking before scheduled pickups.
• Stay current on supply‑chain trends to optimize negotiation tactics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Up to one year of experience in transportation, logistics, account management, or equivalent military experience.
• Strong professional communication skills for internal and external interactions.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Capacity to perform under stress and handle difficult conversations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience using the Carrier360 platform for load tendering and shipment tracking.

What we offer

• Monthly salary of 18,000 MXN.
• Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday, 7 am‑4 pm.
• On‑site work in Querétaro.
