Transport Specialist – Global Logistics

About the role

Join a dynamic logistics team that manages global transportation flows across North America. You will coordinate inbound, outbound and domestic shipments while balancing cost, service levels and lead times.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute air, ocean and ground shipments.
• Coordinate bookings with carriers and freight forwarders, including pickup and delivery.
• Monitor shipments, manage customs clearance and ensure timely last‑mile delivery.
• Identify optimal transportation alternatives based on cost, transit time and service quality.
• Track shipments using transportation systems and forwarder platforms.
• Measure KPIs such as on‑time pickup and delivery, analyse delays and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly logistics reports and communicate status to Logistics and Sales teams.
• Collaborate with service providers to ensure efficient processes and regulatory compliance.
• Support customs clearance and assist with freight payment reconciliation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Foreign Trade, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• At least 5 years of transportation experience, including imports and exports.
• Minimum 3 years working with freight forwarders or logistics service providers.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms and trade operations.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• High sense of urgency and customer‑oriented mindset.
• Advanced English communication skills, both spoken and written.
