Upper School Teacher

About the role

We are looking for an Upper School Teacher to plan, prepare and deliver engaging Spanish lessons to secondary students, fostering language proficiency and critical thinking.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Develop students’ proficiency in reading, writing, grammar, and oral communication.
• Encourage critical thinking through analysis of literary and non‑literary texts.
• Design and implement assessments to evaluate student progress.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students.
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into the classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, school initiatives, and interdisciplinary projects.
• Monitor and support students’ academic progress and overall development.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Literature, Linguistics, Education, or a related field; teaching certification is desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching Spanish at secondary or high school level, with experience in curriculum planning and competency‑based assessment.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency preferred for bilingual environments.
