US Global Chains Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a US Global Chains Specialist to join Despegar’s team in Mexico, based in Mexico City or Cancún. The role focuses on driving B2B sales and business development across global travel markets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new accounts in global markets.
• Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations that showcase our product value.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects to drive growth.
• Understand client needs and tailor proposals to deliver value.
• Manage large accounts, negotiate and close deals with key decision‑makers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, finance, marketing) to implement campaigns.
• Monitor market trends, competitors and new business opportunities.
• Track results, measure performance and report progress independently.
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in commercial roles, preferably B2B sales or business development in travel wholesale.
• Fluent English with the ability to deliver business presentations.
• Strong prospecting and negotiation skills at a strategic or executive level.
• Proven consultative selling experience and ability to build long‑term relationships.
• High analytical ability to produce insights, reports and strategic recommendations.
• Passion for technology, innovation and travel.
• Based in Mexico City or Cancún.
