Vendor Manager – Sourcing & Product Development

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a bold and strategic Vendor Manager to lead sourcing programs for a specific product category. Based in Aguascalientes, you will work closely with vendors, product development, and supply planning to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery that aligns with the company’s supply‑chain strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate clear requirements and accountabilities to the vendor base, ensuring products meet specifications and delivery dates across retail and premium business models.
• Monitor vendor plant schedules, production processes, quality standards, and terms of engagement.
• Lead price negotiations for each program/season and manage vendor development to guarantee bulk manufacturability.
• Oversee pre‑production activities from duplicate samples to sales samples, adhering to brand and consumer‑segment standards.
• Maintain regular communication with Product Development, Supply Planning, and vendor plants to resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and a results‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing vendor relationships in an apparel or consumer‑goods environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional setting and meet Go‑To‑Market calendars.
