Yard Specialist

About the role

The Yard Specialist will oversee daily yard operations, ensuring smooth coordination between vendors, ports, shipping lines, workshops, and internal teams. This role demands a strong service orientation, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive mindset focused on continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise yard vendors to execute routine operations, including active status management, inventory control, entry/exit PDI, and cargo damage coordination.
• Conduct regular yard inspections, identify issues, track resolutions, and raise yard management standards.
• Liaise with shipping lines and port parties on damage incidents, pursue claims, and maintain traceability of issues.
• Manage major damage incidents affecting large batches, coordinating repairs with designated workshops when necessary.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Engineering degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in logistics operations, yard/ramp/port or distribution‑center management.
• Proven experience coordinating vehicle entry/exit, physical inventory control, and transport‑damage tracking.
• Experience working with shipping lines, ports, and logistics providers, as well as delivering training or operational guidelines.
