Design Engineer – Home Appliances

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Design Engineer to join our Consumer Goods product development team. You will be responsible for designing, documenting, and releasing new home‑appliance products from concept through manufacturing while ensuring safety, quality, cost, and customer requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of components, sub‑modules and complete appliances using NX.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical data packages in the PLM system.
• Manage engineering change requests and coordinate with cross‑functional teams and suppliers.
• Perform GD&T, 3D tolerance stack‑up, and 2D/3D analysis as needed.
• Create and maintain risk assessments such as FMEA and DRBFM throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support problem‑solving initiatives using 8D, Six Sigma or DOE methodologies.
• Recommend materials and component technologies for design optimisation.
• Define test parameters, oversee test execution and compile results to validate performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with consumer cooking appliances or related products is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment.
