Design Engineer II

About the role

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking a Design Engineer II to support the planning, coordination, and execution of design and analysis activities for its business jet products. The role is based at the GAC facility in Mexicali and contributes to the full product development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyze engineering data to resolve low to high‑complexity problems.
• Provide custom engineering support throughout the product release process.
• Define and implement engineering changes and incorporate them into design definitions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
• Prepare technical presentations and documentation for internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and adaptable to team needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CATIA V5 for 3D design.
• Experience using AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
