Embedded Software Engineer – QA Automation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a strong QA automation background to test and validate control logic and user interfaces for our power‑generation solutions. You will work closely with control software engineers to ensure the reliability of both hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HiL) and software‑in‑the‑loop (SiL) environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of control algorithms and UI components developed by control SW engineers.
• Design and prepare test cases for HiL and SiL environments based on MATLAB/Simulink models and C++ algorithms.
• Automate test cases using Python and C/C++ to increase test coverage and efficiency.
• Set up and configure HIL test benches (e.g., dSPACE, NI, Vector, OPAL‑RT) and execute real‑time simulations.
• Verify closed‑loop control algorithms and ensure compliance with power‑system market applications.

Required profile

• B.S. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering or a related technical field.
• 6‑8 years of experience testing applications built with Ruby/JavaScript.
• 8‑10 years of programming experience in Python and C/C++.
• 5+ years of hands‑on HIL/SIL testing and model‑based development.
• Experience configuring HIL test benches and understanding real‑time simulation and hardware interfacing.
• Familiarity with power generation, grid‑level control systems, and Power System Market Applications.
• Domain exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is mandatory.
