Facilities Engineer

About the role

As a Facilities Engineer at MKS, Inc., you will plan and oversee facility changes for the Nogales manufacturing site, reporting to the Global Director of Facilities. You will support plant operations, manage projects, and ensure compliance with safety and building codes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for complex manufacturing issues and projects.
• Oversee facility projects, budgets, and contractors, including design, installation, and maintenance of gas detection and building management systems.
• Assist with space allocation, layout activities, and support expansion or consolidation projects.
• Coordinate with architecture and engineering firms to develop design criteria, layout drawings, and detailed specifications.
• Prepare bid sheets, contracts, and cost estimates for construction and equipment installation.
• Inspect construction progress to ensure conformance with drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Research and implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in production operations planning.
• Minimum five years of related experience in facilities engineering or plant operations.
• Knowledge of building and life‑safety codes.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
