Finance Director – Multi‑Site Operations (Mexico City)

About the role

This confidential senior leadership opportunity is with a globally recognised Tier 1 organisation operating across multiple sites in Mexico. Reporting directly to the Vice President & General Manager, the Finance Director will act as the strategic financial partner, driving performance and supporting the company’s growth agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow for multi‑site operations.
• Partner with the VPGM on strategic planning, investment decisions and business performance.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning cycles.
• Drive financial discipline and operational efficiency across all locations.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican regulatory requirements (SAT, IMSS, INFONAVIT) and corporate governance standards.
• Oversee treasury, tax, audit and internal‑control frameworks.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing finance team across multiple sites.
• Provide clear, actionable financial insights to senior leadership and global stakeholders.
• Support M&A activity, capital allocation decisions and business case development.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks and regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• 12+ years progressive finance experience with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience within a Tier 1 global organisation (manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, automotive or similar).
• Strong multi‑site operational finance background.
• Deep knowledge of Mexican financial regulations and fiscal environment.
• Commercially driven with a track record of influencing business performance.
• Experience in a matrixed, multinational corporate structure.
• Bilingual – Spanish and English essential; CPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent preferred; MBA advantageous.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP system) experience.
