Financial Planning & Analysis Intermediate Analyst

About the role

The Financial Planning & Analysis Intermediate Analyst supports senior finance leaders by delivering insightful analysis of Citi’s financial results and competitive performance. The role combines data‑driven reporting with strategic forecasting to help the organization stay aligned with its financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze Citi’s and competitors’ financial performance.
• Develop and coordinate annual planning, periodic forecasting, and monthly variance reviews.
• Generate flash results and highlights for Board of Directors and Executive Management reports.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and support quarterly competitor reviews, annotated supplements, and investment reports.
• Assist client‑facing FP&A teams with time‑critical activities.
• Prepare materials for internal senior leadership and regulator reviews.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for senior stakeholders, exercising independent judgment.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and assess risk responsibly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of data‑analysis tools such as Knime or Tableau.
• Intermediate to advanced English language skills.
