Head of Finance (Mexico)

About the role

A leading multinational organization is seeking a Head of Finance to lead its finance and administration function in Mexico. The role will act as the strategic financial partner to the Country Manager, ensuring sound financial governance, accurate reporting, and support for business decisions during a period of transformation and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Finance Business Partner to the Country Manager.
• Lead the finance and administration function for the Mexican operation.
• Coordinate monthly closing, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyze P&L performance, financial deviations and business results.
• Consolidate financial information from multiple projects and operations.
• Oversee Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Billing and Administrative activities.
• Coordinate external tax advisors and collaborate with the global Legal function.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, internal controls and international policies.
• Drive process improvements and organizational efficiency.
• Lead and develop the local finance team.
• Build strong relationships with regional and global stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance functions in a multinational or matrix environment.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret financial results and drive improvements.
• Experience partnering with senior business leaders and influencing strategic decisions.
• Track record of implementing process enhancements and strengthening internal controls.
• Ability to develop and mentor a local finance team.
