About the role
The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) seeks a qualified Interinstitutional Coordinator to support Mexico's Super Pollutants Accelerator. The role will be based in Mexico City and will work closely with the Government of Mexico, UN agencies, and other stakeholders to advance the country’s commitments on short‑lived climate pollutants.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate coordination among line ministries, sectoral authorities, and national interministerial mechanisms.
- Ensure coherent information flow and strategic alignment across super‑pollutant sectors.
- Engage with CCAC Hubs to integrate national actions with international best practices.
- Support the implementation of multisectoral strategies, scalable mitigation projects, and institutional strengthening initiatives.
- Provide technical assistance and reporting to the UN Environment Programme Secretariat.
Required profile
- Proven experience in environmental policy coordination or related public‑sector roles.
- Strong understanding of climate mitigation, air quality, and short‑lived climate pollutants.
- Ability to work with diverse governmental and non‑governmental stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is an advantage.
