Junior Supplier Planner

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Supplier Planner to join Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems. You will be responsible for expediting and de‑expediting direct material, aligning supplier schedules with demand plans, and ensuring that inventory levels meet production requirements without excess or shortage.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and order material quantities to meet required delivery dates.
• Ensure receipt of goods according to scheduled dates and enforce purchasing agreement timelines.
• Optimize inbound truck loads and manage PPAP dates with suppliers.
• Coordinate between purchasing, engineering, and quality on vendor projects.
• Verify order confirmations for price and delivery accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate drawing or product specification changes to suppliers and confirm understanding.
• Monitor inventory targets, expedite material as needed, and control inbound premium costs.
• Escalate unresolved backlog issues to prevent assembly line disruptions.
• Authority to stop production when a quality problem is identified.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience with MRP and ERP systems.
• Procurement exposure to commodities such as stampings, aluminum die‑casting, plastic injection, grey iron, and fasteners.
• Experience with SAP (preferred) and strong MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
