Launch Engineer

About the role

The Launch Engineer will coordinate and execute product launch activities for automotive components, focusing on plastic injection moulding, painting, and assembly processes. You will work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, ensuring smooth transition from project to series production.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate launch activities, generate timelines, and organise progress meetings.
• Validate BOMs, record data in QAD, and adjust as needed.
• Participate in APQP phases and ensure deliverables are met.
• Lead trial runs, capacity tests, and process validations.
• Prepare technical documentation such as PFMEA, Control Plans, process sheets, and work instructions.
• Manage sample preparation and release (Run@Rate, PPAP).
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions from tests, audits, or deviations.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, suppliers and customers.
• Support transition from project to production and provide technical support during early series production.
• Identify improvement opportunities in cycle time, scrap, efficiency and process stability.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in plastic injection moulding and automotive launches (Tier 1/2).
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational/Industrial Engineering.
• Experience with new project launches and engineering changes.
• Conversational English.

• APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, Automotive Core Tools.
• Interpretation of drawings and GD&T.
• Problem‑solving methodologies (8D, A3, Ishikawa).
• IATF 16949 requirements.
• QAD system management.
• Microsoft Project.
• Advanced Excel.
