Legal & Compliance Counsel – Insurance/Broker Experience

About the role

Marsh is looking for a qualified lawyer to join its Legal & Compliance team in Mexico City. The role combines legal advisory and compliance responsibilities, supporting all business lines with contract management, regulatory guidance, and policy implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and draft/review complex agreements with clients, insurers, service providers, and partners.
• Manage compliance cases, monitor regulatory changes, and support implementation of new regulations.
• Coordinate with external law firms on civil, IP, criminal, labor, and corporate matters.
• Advise on conflict‑of‑interest, sanctions, gifts, entertainment, and policy compliance.
• Partner with senior colleagues in contract negotiations and maintain existing legal contracts.
• Mentor junior team members and manage workflow timelines.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with significant experience in corporate matters within an insurance broker, insurer, or financial services environment.
• Minimum 3 years of contract management experience in the private sector.
• Strong communication skills, ability to influence, and a proactive attitude toward change.
• Fluent in English.
