Maintenance Group Leader

About the role

The Maintenance Group Leader will oversee a small to medium team of maintenance technicians, ensuring reliable operation of plant equipment and facilities. This full‑time onsite position follows General Motors' standard maintenance systems and safety practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct checks, tests, and evaluate results to diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Implement preventative maintenance plans and meet schedule and quality targets.
• Coordinate the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment to complete jobs and projects.
• Communicate findings and recommended solutions to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local and national labor agreements and corporate safety policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in maintenance or manufacturing (2–5 years preferred).
• Intermediate English proficiency for technical conversations.
• Availability for rotating 4x3 shift schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience leading work teams.

Required skills

• CNC machining knowledge.
• Experience with PLCs and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with FANUC and Siemens CNC controls.
• Knowledge of Allen‑Bradley, Rockwell, and Siemens PLC platforms.
• Understanding of robotic cell configurations, automation systems, and basic robot programming or handling.
