Material Scientist with Python – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a material scientist with strong Python skills to join our freelance AI training platform. You will design and validate engineering‑focused problems that help test and improve AI systems for leading tech companies.

Key responsibilities

• Design original material engineering problems that simulate real‑world workflows.
• Create problem statements that require Python programming for calculations, simulations, and iterative numerical methods.
• Develop challenges involving system design, optimization, and analysis based on actual research or practical applications.
• Verify solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Material Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional, research, or teaching experience in material engineering.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
• Understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Numerical libraries: NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• Experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, or Stata (any is acceptable).

What we offer

• Project‑based work with an estimated 10–20 hours per week during active phases.
