Mechanical Design Engineer – Transmission Solenoids

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to support the development and industrialization of automotive transmission solenoids. The role involves working on mechanical design activities from concept through series production, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design transmission solenoids and subcomponents such as housings, armatures, springs, and mechanical interfaces.
• Create and update 3D CAD models and 2D drawings following Bosch standards.
• Translate system and customer requirements into mechanical design features and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, tolerance analyses, and design changes in the PLM system.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to support high‑volume production.
• Participate in design reviews, DFMEA/DRBFM discussions, and validation activities.
• Support validation testing, analyze results, and document findings.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers during industrialization and ramp‑up.
• Assist root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design or production issues.
• Contribute to cost, quality, and standardization improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or engineering support.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in CAD tools for 3D modeling and 2D drawings (NX preferred).
• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
• Interest in automotive product development and electromechanical components.
• Basic knowledge of engineering quality tools such as DFMEA and DVP&R.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
