North America PC&L Controller

About the role

Versigent is seeking a North America PC&L Controller to act as the financial steward of Production Control & Logistics (PC&L) operations within a manufacturing environment. The role will monitor, analyze, and report logistics‑related costs, ensuring financial accuracy while driving cost and cash improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Track and analyze logistics costs such as freight, warehousing, customs, packaging, excess, obsolescence, and inventory levels.
• Compare actuals to budget and forecast, investigate variances, and provide actionable explanations for senior management.
• Support month‑end close activities for logistics and inventory accounting.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities across transportation, storage, and distribution and develop logistics cost forecasts.
• Assist PC&L teams in recovering costs from suppliers and customers and evaluate supplier contracts.
• Define and monitor PC&L financial KPIs and prepare business case models.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation, support cycle counts, and reconcile inventory movements across ERP systems.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, plant, and FP&A teams to align logistics strategies with business goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems for inventory and financial data.
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards and internal control compliance.
