Procurement & Sourcing Manager

About the role

Birdman, the leading plant‑based supplements and food company in Mexico, is expanding rapidly across multiple countries. We are strengthening our Supply Chain organization and need a Procurement & Sourcing Manager to lead the purchasing function, ensure reliable supply, build strong supplier partnerships, and drive cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end procurement function, ensuring continuity of supply across all materials and services.
• Define and execute sourcing strategies by category (raw materials, packaging, and services).
• Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, terms, and commercial conditions.
• Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, monitoring performance in cost, quality, and service.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers to strengthen competitiveness and reduce risk.
• Drive cost optimisation initiatives and savings plans aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze market trends and pricing dynamics to support procurement decisions.
• Anticipate and mitigate supply risks through contingency planning and supplier diversification.
• Collaborate closely with Planning and Operations to align procurement with demand and supply strategies.
• Establish and monitor procurement KPIs such as cost savings, supplier performance, lead times, and risk exposure.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading procurement functions in a fast‑growing environment.
• Strong strategic focus with the ability to define and execute sourcing strategies.
• Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations and cost optimisation.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and mitigating supply risks.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with planning, operations, and finance teams.
