Product Design Engineer

About the role

The Product Design Engineer will join Bosch Powertrain Solutions in San Luis Potosí to develop and validate complex mechanical components for electric and conventional vehicles. You will work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure designs meet quality, safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide design, manufacturing and risk‑management support to the engineering team.
• Apply DRBFM methodology to assure quality and understand cause‑and‑effect relationships.
• Review, optimise and validate designs using finite‑element analysis.
• Generate innovative concepts through brainstorming and RPP ideas.
• Contribute to DFMEA development to meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing on problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
• Create 2D drawings, 3D models, tolerance analyses, stack‑up evaluations and GD&T documentation.
• Develop Bills of Materials for new releases and support the quoting phase with technical cost information.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with engineering change requests and product validation.
• Strong understanding of technical risk assessment and problem‑solving.
