Project Manager, Technical

About the role

The Project Manager (Technical) will work closely with the Director of Technical & Asset Management to lead construction projects on Private Destinations. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while adhering to Royal Caribbean’s brand and safety guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate construction activities with onsite stakeholders and oversee daily operations of construction teams.
• Identify and resolve potential issues or delays proactively.
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress against plans and specifications.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and resources.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and weekly reports.
• Ensure contractor compliance with company policies and monitor contractor arrivals and departures.
• Collaborate with the Director of Island Projects and Innovation on project scopes.
• Develop and track project budgets, providing cost breakdowns and financial reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in construction project management with a proven record of on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
