Scaling up Coordinator – Super Pollutants Accelerator (Mexico)

About the role

The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) seeks a Scaling up Coordinator to support Mexico’s Super Pollutants Accelerator. The consultant will work under the policy direction of SEMARNAT and technical guidance from INECC to enhance the impact of the Accelerator Programme on short‑lived climate pollutants (SLCPs).

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess funding opportunities from national, bilateral and multilateral sources.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with government agencies, donors and private sector actors.
• Support the development of funding proposals and ensure alignment with Mexico’s SLCP commitments.
• Coordinate the funding pipeline to enable scaled‑up mitigation actions and sustain results beyond CCAC support.
• Provide regular reporting on funding status and partnership outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in environmental project coordination, preferably in climate or air quality initiatives.
• Familiarity with funding mechanisms and proposal development for international or governmental programmes.
• Ability to work closely with Mexican government entities and international partners.
• Strong analytical and communication skills in English; Spanish is an advantage.
