Seat Complete Engineer

About the role

The Seat Complete Engineer is responsible for the design, release, and integration of all components and assemblies within seat systems. This role ensures that engineering deliverables meet system‑level requirements for performance, cost, weight, quality, and craftsmanship throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate development of seat components to meet GPDS milestones.
• Communicate effectively across all organizational levels and travel to JIT plants to resolve on‑site issues.
• Deliver engineering outputs on time for product definition, target setting, supplier sourcing, validation, testing, launch, and production.
• Lead issue resolution, financial status‑to‑target, and cost, weight, and quality targets.
• Support cost processes, manage tools and trackers, and provide on‑site support for prototype, pre‑production, and vehicle launch phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of automotive industry experience, preferably in product or design & release engineering.
• Knowledge of the full product development cycle and vehicle launch experience.
• Strong communication, presentation, and people skills.
• Project management capability with the ability to create and follow timing plans.
• Willingness to travel as required.
