Senior Auditor – Internal Audit

About the role

The Senior Auditor will perform moderately complex audits and assessments of Citi's risk and control environment, working closely with the internal audit team. This intermediate‑level position leverages deep subject‑matter expertise to improve audit techniques, support business goals, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute moderately complex audits, draft audit reports, and present findings to business stakeholders.
• Deliver practical, cross‑functional solutions and recommendations within budgeted timeframes and costs.
• Monitor emerging risks, assess their impact, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to audit process improvements, including the development of automated routines.
• Apply internal audit standards, policies, and regulations to provide timely assurance.
• Build effective relationships with line management to deepen business understanding.
• Exercise independent judgment with limited supervision and act as a subject‑matter expert for senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of relevant audit experience, preferably in financial services, insurance, or pensions.
• Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).
• Academic background in Actuarial Science, Economics, Accounting, or related fields (bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
• Strong experience with risk‑modeling frameworks and technical audit methodologies.
