Senior Business Development Manager – Latin America

About the role

The Senior Business Development Manager will lead business performance for Nissan Importers Business Unit (NIBU) across Latin America, focusing on left‑hand‑drive Caribbean countries and new expansion markets. Partnering with regional stakeholders, the role drives retail and wholesale sales, profitability, customer satisfaction and alignment with Nissan’s global brand strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sales operations and business development to achieve growth and profitability across NIBU markets.
• Define, monitor and report key sales KPIs such as total industry volume (TIV), retail sales, wholesale sales, allocation and profitability.
• Lead negotiations with business partners to set and align sales objectives.
• Develop and follow up on customer satisfaction improvement action plans.
• Act as the primary sales representative for NIBU markets within the importer structure.
• Plan, update and monitor vehicle flow and allocation in line with the business plan.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies together with National Sales Companies, ensuring brand alignment.
• Serve as the main liaison between internal stakeholders and NIBU markets for sales‑related matters.
• Analyse market conditions (economic, political, social) to support strategic planning.
• Monitor the full production‑to‑market supply chain and support product launch plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in commercial or sales roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with sales‑related systems (e.g., CRM tools).
